ABOUT: ADA
The American Dietetic Association is the world’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals. ADA is committed to improving the nation’s health and advancing the profession of dietetics through research, education and advocacy.
Membership is open to those who meet academic and experience requirements established by the Association. Approximately 75% of ADA's members are registered dietitians (RDs), 5% are dietetic technicians, registered (DTRs) and 20% are students. Dietetic Practice Groups (DPGs), professional interest groups within the ADA, allow members to connect with one another and increase knowledge within specific areas of interest and/or practice through newsletters, publications, web sites and continuing education so they may best serve their clients, patients and organizations.
