ABOUT:    BCEN
Founded in 1980, the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN®) mission is to certify nurses who provide emergency services across the health care continuum. The BCEN list is comprised of all emergency and flight nurses that have earned the CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) or CFRN (Certified Flight Registered Nurse) designation. As an affiliate of the Emergency Nurses Association, the BCEN strives to continue evaluation and upgrading the certification examination for emergency nurses.

Emergency and flight nurses with the CEN or CFRN designation have achieved and maintained a credential which may assure patients and colleagues that they have the knowledge necessary to provide quality emergency care.
